Jeep Wrangler 4xe awarded for innovative propulsion system

The Jeep Wrangler 4xe Hybrid won the Wards 10 Best Engines and Propulsion Systems award.

Recently, Canadian services named the Jeep Wrangler’s innovative 4xe plug-in hybrid propulsion system as one of the top 10 engines and propulsion systems. The 400-volt system delivers near-silent operation, eco-friendliness, Jeep’s famous 4 × 4 off-road capability, and 21-mile zero-emission electric range. It is rated at a very good 59 MPGe.

The award-winning 4xe propulsion system combines two electric motors, a 2.0-liter I-4 engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The E Selec modes – Hybrid, Electric, eSave – allow the driver to adapt the vehicle’s propulsion to the movement. This keeps the battery charge for later use.

The Jeep Wrangler 4xe’s 17 kWh battery recharges in approximately 2 hours on a Level 2 (220 V) power supply and approximately 12 hours on a Level 1 (110 V) home power supply.

Jeep launched the Wrangler 4xe modification in early 2021. During its first year on the market, the model managed to receive consumer recognition and media praise.

The model is the No. 1 in plug-in hybrid sales in America. Today, it is fair to say that this version is a success, and that Jeep made the right decision by offering it.

The Wrangler 4xe is on the roads in North America, Europe and China. In the United States and Canada, the 4xe variant is available for Sahara, Rubicon, High Altitude grades.
